Magdalena – Upcycling & Sewing | L'autre vie

Sewing has been part of me since the very beginning – I literally absorbed it with my mother's milk. My mum was a self-made seamstress; from my earliest years I watched her create beautiful projects, struggle, and triumph over every stitch. That quiet magic shaped me.

I've been sewing with love since childhood – from my dad's favourite flannel shirt (he still wears it!) to dresses, office outfits and cosy jumpers made at night for my family.
Now I adore upcycling: breathing new life into second-hand treasures from charity shops, using only natural fabrics like wool, cashmere, linen, cotton and leather. Inspired by Chanel's timeless elegance, I add thoughtful details and a personal twist that flatter my hourglass shape.

Perfectionist at heart, I take my time to make each piece just right.
Under L'autre vie (the other life), I do alterations and remake shrunk cashmere/wool sweaters into cosy mittens. Join me for gentle, creative upcycling workshops at WOCA – 10th and 17th February – let's give your clothes (and maybe yourself) a beautiful second chapter together. Warm welcome!
