West Oxford Surgery to Close - Your Views are Important
Patients were informed by Dr Kearley and partners on Monday 16 January that the surgery in the West Oxford Community Centre is going to close in May 2012, with the practice moving to a new base on the old Radcliffe Hospital site in Jericho. The practice has informed people that they are very pleased about the move as it offers “a modern attractive premises and allows us to provide additional and more efficient services.”
WOCA committee invited the practice a number of times over the last year to meet to discuss rumoured changes at the surgery, but WOCA has still had no official communication from them. WOCA is very concerned about this news. It raises a number of important questions about what sort of local GP service, if any, West Oxford residents can expect. The closure was reported in the Oxford Mail on Thursday 2nd February Further open meetings are planned with patients, and details will appear as soon as we have them.
