Oxford City Council are carrying out a Satisfaction Survey of West Oxford Community Centre at the moment - and it would be great if you would contribute. There are plenty of leaflets available at the centre to fill in, or you can also share your thoughts online. Just visit:

Patients were informed by Dr Kearley and partners on Monday 16 January that the surgery in the West Oxford Community Centre is going to close in May 2012, with the practice moving to a new base on the old Radcliffe Hospital site in Jericho. The practice has informed people that they are very pleased about the move as it offers “a modern attractive premises and allows us to provide additional and more efficient services.”
WOCA committee invited the practice a number of times over the last year to meet to discuss rumoured changes at the surgery, but WOCA has still had no official communication from them. WOCA is very concerned about this news. It raises a number of important questions about what sort of local GP service, if any, West Oxford residents can expect. If you are also concerned about these changes, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to help coordinate a response.
The closure was reported in the Oxford Mail on Thursday 2nd February The practice will be holding a drop-in session at West Oxford on Saturday 4th February 9.30 – 11.00 and at Jericho Saturday 25th February 9.30 – 11.00, where people can see plans and there will be someone there to answer questions.
West Oxord, along with the rest of the city, will be having a Spring Clean on Saturday 3rd March!
Meet at the Community Centre at 2.00 to be equipped with all necessary tools and equipment, and help make West Oxford even more beautiful!
