“The Great American Songbook”
Repeating their phenomenal success earlier this year at the Friends' Meeting House Oxfap Charity Concert, are Holly Taylor (voice) with Nicholas Gill (at the piano). The songs of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Richard Rogers and several others are to be given a light and tasteful toasting on the hot grid-irons of classic swing.

“An Audience with Bob Wilber”
It is a great honour to welcome a true jazz survivor to the WOCA Jazz Brunches. Bob Wilber is still playing delightful Bechet-inspired clarinet and saxophone at the tender age of 87. Born in 1928, he was lucky to learn his craft from some of the original masters of New Orleans and Harlem, including the great Sidney Bechet and Willie “the Lion” Smith. For many years he toured with “The World's Greatest Jazz Band” and “Soprano Summit” with Kenny Davern.
Early reservation of tickets is advisable if you wish to bathe in musical waters from the very fountain head of jazz. He will be accompanied by The Oxford Classic Jazz Band rhythm section.
Doors open at 11.00am for a complimentary warm drink and a croissant to ease you gently into the wonderful world of Jazz. There will be a short interval during the performance, which is expected to last around 90 mins or so, depending on the audience enthusiasm!
